Any help on this one? What should I inspect and or clean? My son had a reputable shop change the solenoid a few months ago but the problem is back. I understand it's oil activated so I was wondering if its plugged or something . your help is appreciated.rv

 

It is quite possibly plugged.

 

The VVT pulley itself might be bad.

 

the shop changed the gear assembly and said that they had never seen one go bad before.

 

I have done a bunch of them for being bad.
But if that has already been done how about the valve on top?

 

I will pull it off and check for function and blockage.
