Car doesn't stay on in the morning?
Hello all, I have Volvo S40 (2004) 1.9L turbo and the problem with it is that in morning (or after 6+ hours that car is off) it doesn't stay on. I have to press the gas to warm it up and even when it warms up sometimes doesn't stay on.
After couple minutes of keeping in gas it stays on and I have no problem all day. The MAP and O2 sensor codes were showing up. I changed Map sensor 6 months ago and I just changed O2 sensor, but problem is still there.
If anyone has an idea will appreciate it ...
Thanks in advance

I'm thinking Idle Air Control Valve. Maybe get a new gasket then remove IAC and clean thoroughly, replace with new gasket.
If you are up for it there is a way to check the IAC. You remove the IAC from the car and, with the electrical connector hooked up, place your thumb over the open rectangular hole for the IAC. Now have an assistant start the car. Now you control idle with your thumb by varying the amount of air you let into the engine. While doing this you watch the IAC. As you vary rpm the IAC should open and close as it seeks to control the rpm as if it was still mounted to the car.
Of course you do this when cold as the metal around the hole your thumb is covering gets hot as the engine warms. Plus you said cold is when your trouble occurs. The assistant should be ready to shut off the car when you tell them.
