Car stallsout on starting after being refueled
Sometimes at a service station after refueling my 2002 Volvo s40 I will start the car and it stalls out. I try again and get the same thing.
I can eventually get it started (on the third or fourth attempt) after pumping the accelerator, but this is awfully inconvenient and it has never happened before,
Also after I get the car easily started and pull up to a stop sign and wait it then stumbles when I accelerate. This stops after a few minutes.
I am not sure what is going on or even if the two incidents are related.
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

[QUOTE=Newport_j;452365]Could you elaborate on that I am not following you thinking.
Respectfully,
Does the engine stall right away or does it seem to be running out of gas? Bogging. If so he meant when you got gas water may be in you gas tank. Don't get gas if you have a gas truck filling the tanks at the gas station, it stirs the gas with water.

Actually it stalls right away. Also if I get it started and then if I drive say a mile and stop at a stop sign it will stumble when I accelerate away from the stop sign. The problem does not occur after that.
I have A Volvo 2002 S40.
