Hello, I have a 2001 volvo s40 and was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find a carbon fiber hood for my car. The previous owner got a cheep paint job and the hood is oxidizing, so I was hoping to find a carbon fiber hood rather than having to get the thing repainted.[:@]Thanks much for the help.

Good luck no one and I mean no one makes CF hoods for our cars. And the company that did make them only made the 850 and 70 series hoods in CF. But they no longer exist.

However you could find a place that deals with CF and have them make a mold and all that to get you one. But your going to spend a good $5k when things are all over with.

 

actually you need to check s40concepts.net....they had a group buy on a carbon fiber hood and trunk...not sure but it might be too late, go to that website and check under the classified forum...good luck

 

No mass produced though. Custom made by someone and the mold itsself will cost around $3k and then from there on out they can make as many as they need to.

 

it was around 600 or something for the hood.

well whatever, all I'm saying is now they have a group buy for this mold...to answer his question, if he looks at that forum he can find some deals such as group buys....
