Default CEL Code

Okay so i got a cel code and i'm hoping i can fix the issue that is causing the code to pop up. Well i scanned it at AutoZone and their scantool said that there were two codes except i was only able to read one. I suppose that they are both related but anyhow can someone tell me what P0128 is and what would cause this code to be thrown? TIA

Either the coolant temp sensor is bad or the thermostat.

I would replace both to be safe. Plus the sensor is easier to get to once you remove the upper thermostat housing.

I have the same problem and have an appt. for fix it. The local dealership says they replace both the thermastat and sensor to assure the problem is fixed. I was quoted 229.00 total at Volvo in Salt Lake City.

Thanks! I will def look into this. Thanks again. How long ago did you get the CEL S Forty208? BTW if I wanted to do this myself, what kinda hassle am i looking at? or is it just a simple set of steps. Also I erased the code after the last scan and the light has not come on since, it seems to be happening only when it's freaking cold in the mornings. TIA!
