So ive been getting a random cel once a week or so. When i pulled the code i get p0089 fuel pressure regulator 1 performance. It will come on for a day then dissapear after i add a little fuel injector cleaner then drive it off. Nothing seems out of the norm, it soundslike a champ. Any ideas on a solution?

 

Random codes are the worst. Since cars don't fix themselves you know it's going to fail one day. That fuel pressure sensor seems to be a problem with the newer model.

 

so i took it to a local mechanic and he replace the fuel pressure regulator for $500. it runs a little better and my mpg calculator seems more accurate however the light is still coming on. I feel like im chasing a ghost and wasting money on something that's essential just an annoyance.
