Check Engine Light/ Cold Air Intake

Check Engine Light/ Cold Air Intake
Hey guys, I built a CAI for my car and installed it about 2 weeks ago. I drove my car today with no issues in the morning, and when I started it about an hour ago to drive home I suddenly had a check engine light. Since this is the first time it's come on, I feel like it is just a coincidence and has nothing to do with the CAI, since I correctly installed the hose and MAF sensor and haven't had an issue for 2 weeks.
Anyone have anything thoughts on this? I am stopping by my mechanic's shop tomorrow morning to pull the code(s) so I will update when I have them. Any input about past experiences with aftermarket intakes and issues like this would be appreciated.

Took a while but got my codes pulled. It was a code for "mixture too rich" and the cause is a small leak on my CAI that I didn't notice before. The guy who welded and drilled the plate for my MAF sensor drilled it a tad too big so there is a 1/16" gap that's allowing air to leak out. So all I need to do is put a gasket on there and it will be good. My mechanic cleared the code and it popped back up an hour later, but randomly turned itself off today.
