Check engine showing Over heat
I have a ongoing problem with my volvo. The check engine light went on and I dont remember the exact code but my mechanic told me that there is a overheat problem and I will need to change my egine temperature sensor. So I got it changed and the light still comes on, even though we reset it couple of times. Btw, the car never really overheated or anything. Do you know what might be the problem?
I also have another problem with the car. The Rpms are going up without me doing anything. It is like I am waiting at the red light and the car starts to accelerate if i dont push the brakes. It does not happen all the time, but it is really scary. I have not went to the mechanic yet about this problem and would like to know if you know what might be wrong.

RE: Check engine showing Over heat
Have you had your thermostat checked yet? They brake and will make the car run weird. Also try to find out what the codes were because they had a big problem with o2 sensor codes that kept coming back. There was a harness adapter they were installing and it would stop the light from coming back on.
