Code P0026 with lack of acceleration
Hello,
Recently had my oil pan changed and they switched me to synthetic oil. My car also had timing belt and water pump changed at the dealership.
Could the switch to synthetic be causing the camshaft reset valve to not function since it was used to regular oil? Could it be gunked up?
I also notice that the light came up when I rev the engine on the hghway above 3000 rpm and also noticed that the car lacks acceleration power.
I did change this valve last year but i just had an engine rebuilt practically. So would it be safe to assume that i just need another camshaft reset valve? This is the part number 36002687
I have read that it's pretty much useless to clean these since if they are not working, it's better to pop a new one in?
