Default cutting out

Hiya, my first post !!

I'v owned my 1998 T4 for about 7 months now, just recently i'v had a problem with it stalling. I can't find any link to how i drive it, weather conditions, distance or time driven causing the fault. Generally the car doesn't drive well, it feels like it is misfiring, about once a week the car will die when i stop at a junction...the revs will fall and it is noticably not running right, then it stalls. It restarts fine and will drive again for about another week before stalling again.

I'v had my t4 to a local Volvo specialist who has put it on a Volvo computer and also a Krypton tune and nothing shows as being faulty, they have also cleaned the throttle body, but it has made no difference. I'm considering selling my car now because i hate it not being reliable 100% of the time.

Can anyone offer any advice, i really don't want to sell it !!

Thanks in advance
Andy

Have you replaced the coils and the plugs. Those coils go bad. They act up mostly when they are hot.I coil runs 2 cylinders.

Thanks for the reply, the plugs were replaced when i first got the car, not the coil packs though.......wouldn't it show up on a krypton tune computer if the coil packs or plugs were faulty ??

No it won't most of the time it won't set codes at all.Look at the coils good and if the plastic is cracked then replace them.
