Driver side seat belt problem
My driver's seat belt does not retract properly, it stays extended. it works ok as a seat belt, but it does not retract and gets in the way when shutting the door. Also, when getting into the car to start it up it is clumsy to connect since it is sprawled everywhere.
The replacement parts is quite expensive. I would like to get a used one if possible. What is the part name on a 2002 Volvo s40? I think I know where to get a after market one, but any other help in finding one is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

That is possible is has not stopped working; it just does not work very well. I would like to clean it. But how do I get it out of the sidebar? It is behind all kinds of plastic and stuff.
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had my passenger side airbag deploy a few months ago. Again that was the passenger side airbag.
Now the driver's seat belt is very loose so I am wondering if that is because of the airbag deployment -although airbag deployment was on the passenger side. I know that some seatbelts have a cartridge that explodes when the airbag deploys; again, some seatbelts have that.
But my loose driver's side seat belt did not have the driver's side airbag deploy.
I am just wondering if that is the case here. Is the seat belt is loose becuase it is dirty or because the passenger side airbag deployed.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
