Drivers interior door handle kinda works. Locks, not so much...
So I've got a 2000 S40, just picked it up about two months ago. There's still a few issues I'm sorting through, and one of them is the drivers inside door handle. It opens reliably, but I find myself more and more having to really *really* pull on this sucker to get it to un-latch the door so I can open it.
I'm to the point where I think I'm nearing the end of available extension on the handle, and I have to push the door with my elbow to get it to open up because it doesn't just "pop" out when I pull on it like it's supposed to.
If I can avoid pulling the whole door cover I'd like to. Is there any chance that pulling the door handle cover would reveal anything, or give access to some sort of cable adjustment?
Otherwise I'm willing to just take the door cover off and do what I need to do, which is ________?
Similarly, when I hit the "central locking system" button, the doors will lock, then immediately unlock. It's strange. Unlocking with the key from the outside is quirky too, if I'm not careful when I bring the key back to center it'll barely re-lock the door, kinda odd...
