Default Electrical!

I have a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 Awd. Major electrical issues. Something is draining the battery and I keep getting electrical warnings like "Brake failure, stop safely" "Immobilizer" "engine system service required". When left for a couple of days the battery is dead. Its a $300 battery only 1 year old. I took the battery back, they kept it for a few days and tested it and said it was fine. Must be a short somewhere. Any of these issues sound familiar? Used to be able to reset by unplugging a couple of main plugs from CEM but that doesn't work anymore. Now when I put a charger on the battery it starts clicking so I've parked it and will try to dissect it. Any thoughts? Thanks, kevin

Have you had the alternator checked out? Does it charge properly when running?

you need to identify the source of the current drain. I'd start by looking aound at the obvious - ie a vanity light stuck on, glove box or trunk light (cell phone video can help you see if a light is on with a the door/lid closed). Next try pulling fuses and use a meter to see which circuits are showing current. A quick google can tell you the baseline normal draw for the car. Repeated draining of a battery can lead to premature failure as well.
