Default Fried drivers side power seat!

I believe the circuit for my 01’ Volvo s40’s driver seat is fried from water damage. I can not afford to fix this, Is there a way too manually move the seat?

did you check the connections to the power seat motor to make sure the switches are working and the motor is getting power? You can try cleaning the contacts or replacing the unit (used ones go for about $50-75 search car-part.com for a local yard to call - you can ask for an ugly seat for the motor and or switch controller components - assuming your current seat covers are in good shape). The concern with messing with the power seats is that they are wired into the SRS system so make sure you remove the battery before cleaning the terminals or swapping out the box. I don't think you can simply disconnect it - as it will set off the SRS light. Google "volvo 30880275" for the motor and "volvo 30623409" for the seat switch controller to get pics and info. Otherwise you may have to manually turn the motor to get the seat to move to a particular spot and leave it there.
