Default fuel pressure regulator

How easy is it or hard to change the fuel pressure regulator on a volvo s40 02? I am not totally savvy with cars but am somewhat useful? I understand the part is about $100 but the dealer wants about $400 to do the job?

You could change it in about 15 to 20 minutes.

If you want a walk through let me know.

When you get the new one it comes with the mounting and everything.
This is what I do. Once you remove the Throttle cable cover and the fuel rail cover you will see the regulator on the end of the fuel rail.

Release the fuel pressure from the rail. Push the schrader valve with a rag around the end to release the pressure.

There is a clip that holds the regulator itself into the mounting. I slide the clip out and remove the regulator.
Then do the same with the new one and install it into the bracket on the car.
