Lightbulb Fuel tank level sensor.

Hello I'm wondering if any one in the community has done a fuel sensor swap out or modify it so the empty really means empty in the fuel tank. I don't really like the reserve in the tank because it feels like I'm trying to guess when I'm really out of fuel. It's for my 2001 S40 1.9t .

Thank you to whom ever replies

I once read a thread where the writer removed the fuel pump assembly and bent the float arm so that the gauge read more accurately. For some reason I cannot find that thread or remember the forum I first saw it on.

I also do not remember how bending the arm would affect both high and low levels. Is there enough room in the tank or would it help on the low side but make it read high, I just don't remember.

Anyone save the link to that thread? It had very good pictures.

Found the Original post prier by searching the forum and found the post but the guy was having the same issue that I am having where E when filling up is ~12 to 13 gallons of fuel. here is the thread https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...as-left-19089/

I'll see if I can get a calibration done the right way for cheap.
