The Great belt swap of "'07"
Hey all -
a friend wants me to change the belts on her '01 S40. With the side mounted engine, are the mounts in the way (ie lift the engine, remove the mounts, like on friggin toyota's etc) or is it just a pulley or two that I can move with a socket and breaker bar? Thanks - Elias

Depends which belts you are changing.
The serpentine belt is reasonably easy but the timing belt requires the engine lifted and the right hand engine mount removed.
