Default Hardwiring help

Hi all, I'm new to the forum but also new to Volvo. I just bought my first new 2007 Volvo S40 T5 in grey metallic...I hardwired a Valentine 1 in my previous car and want to hardwireit into my new baby but wanted to know how to disassemble the headliner and if there are any wires that I can tap into for power. Thanks...

I have no idea what type of wiring is under the headliner of an 07, but what is a Valentine 1?

Valentine 1 is my radar detector. Not the best looking one but it works really well...even tells you which direction the radar is pointing from.

i ran a small wire from the cig lighter (which pulls out quite easily) and routed the cable under the center console--> under the drivers console --> over to the door jam vent(which also pulls out easily) ran the wire up the "a" pillar(hiding it under the black lining that seals the door--> accross the headboard and down the rear view mirror wire cover to my valentine

I want that new GPS enabled passport 9500i, uses GPS technologies for determining where police radar is.

for the power source just tap into the existing 12v power outlet. it supplies plenty of power and it will turn off with the key. I posted how I did mine in another thread about hardwiring a nav system. check it out.
