Default Headlamp (drivers side) rotted connector replacement/options

Hey folks. A search on this was not successful and not finding much from other man searched so hoping you all can help.

We have a 2004.5 Volvo S40 and it has a cracked headlamp and the light did not function. After further inspection, the wiring to the housing is corroded and two wired have disconnected. Is there a way to report this connection or do I need to replace the entire wiring harness? If so, is there guidance on what I should get?

I purchased from salvage a headlamp housing, but its insulation on wiring is dry and falling apart and adding heatshrink to protect. Quite a mess and appreciate any insights.

Welcome to the Forum!

No advice, just wanted to say welcome. I hate electrical work.
