Mine does. I don't know how to disassemble it yet but I'm sure someone else here does. Everthing illuminates in my car except the gear indicator in the center console. I just can't get my hand in there without removing alot more stuff than just thetop plastic bezel.

Actually i just tackled that job myself. After owning the car 3 years i finally got around to fixing it. As you mentioned there are the 2 screws then you just manuever the whole assembly out. There is no need to dissasemble the entire switch bow once you get it out. There are 3 bulbs and they are very tiny. As far as i know you can only get them through a dealership. If you look at the back of the box there are three round plastic pieces with a flathead screw slot. Just use a screwdriver and take them out. The part number is 30618290 from Volvo.

I would call around if i were you... the volvo dealer in my area quoted my over $10 each. I ordered mine from Volvo of Richardson, Richardson Texas. They only cost $4.87each. They have a very good website, but were not listed so I just called them. http://www.myswedishparts.com/ Good luck.
