poor headlight illumination
newby here, when my lights are on , it's like they are not shining on the road at all. I don't think the're out of alignment, they just don't shine on the road. I replaced the glass covers and put high intensity bulbs in. any suggestions? Does anyone else have or had this problem? thanks. ps I read your threads on poor idle, cleaned throttle body and car runs like new. I'am talking about a 1999 S-70. thanks again

I would assume the correct voltage/amperage is not reaching the bulbs. Check wirings to make sure that there is no exposed conductor. Or, it could be a retiring relay. Post this question in the S70 forum to see if someone can provide a wiring diagram. I will provide a relay box identification for 850, in case the S70 shares the same set-up. Check with your owner's manual.
Is it only the head lights that are dim? If other electrical components are doing strange numbers, I would check the serp. belt for slippage/tension (it should have spring-loaded automatic tensioner).
