awright folks, my illumination on the heater/temp dial has gone for some reason, other dials illuminate fine. ive checked the fuse (just incase) and its ok, so am i gonna have to take the whole dash apart or wot? wot illuminates it? bulbs or summit? i have a volvo s40 (im in the UK) 99 reg, 1.8 gdi (yes i also have acceleration problems!!!) your help much appreciated.

 

I believe it is by bulbs.They are pretty easy to replace.Kind of a pain to get to but not all that hard.Just takes a little time.

 

thanks for the quick reply, so am i gonna have to take the dash off? coz thats summit im not confident in doing (incase id doesnt go back on) is this the only way?

 

The wood grain cover that it over top of it comes off.Then there is some screws to remove it.You might have to remove the radio and the radio box first.
