Hello all
The 2000 model was a one-off in many areas. Suspension, motor mounts, etc. It also had many flaws including bad paint. The 2001-2004 incorporated improvements learned from the 2000 model. I personally would not buy one. JMHO.

Thanks for the info
As it turns out, I've decided to pass on the 2000 and go see this 2002 S40 listed with a bad turbo. The owner says it runs but is low on power. If its as clean as the pics show, and has enough power to get up on a traler, I'm bringing it home.
