Help! Possible Problem with ECM
I have a 2005 Volvo s40 and tonight I have my first issue. After I had parked and went inside, I went back out to grab a bag. The car was off yet there was something that sounded like a small pump or motor running with an occasional popping sound.
I went through the fuses under the hood and started pulling them one at a time (replacing it after I pulled it) until I finally pulled the one that made the sound stop. It was fuse #36 Engine Control Module (ECM) 10A. I left it out so whatever it is won't run my battery down overnight. If I plug it back in, the sound starts again.
The display inside said something about a problem with the Anti-Skid and to take it to the dealer.
Any ideas on what the problem is and how I might be able to fix it?
Things I tried first:
I started the car again and turned it off to see if that would help, no luck
I unplugged the battery to reset the computer, no luck
Playing with the fuses
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. If you can solve it for me, I will take you to see a space shuttle launch up close!

Is the motor running from under the hood?
Is it a chrome pump under the hood?
If it is there should be a line connected to it follow it and fine a valve inline and unplug it and see if it stops. If so the valve is bad. I have seen that before.

The motor is running from under the hood, although I can't pinpoint from where, somewhere close to the engine I think.
Where would this crome pump be located?
I can fix space shuttle main engines, but cars, they baffle me...
Thanks for the help!!
