I'm looking in to 05-06 S40s and every one I've started idles high at first, then drops down to a normal idle in about 10 seconds. Is this normal? Seems like something an old carbureted car with an electric choke would do. Just wanted to make sure this is normal...

And also I just wanted to ask you guys for things I need to look for when purchasing. Biggest flaws I need to be aware of? Thanks!

 

100% normal, its the cars way of warming up the O2 sensor's quickly (if I remember correctly). So dont sweat that one bit man.
