while driving to work the other day my 07 s40 went crazy. All the warning lights went, the radio died, wipers went on and display said "high voltage pull over safely". Does anyone know what my problem is or what caused this problem to happen?

 

You should have it scanned 1st.

 

Go to an AZ have the battery and the alternator checked out.The voltage regulator could be burnt which is part of the alternator..

 

If the voltage was being passed as high then you was got that displayed. Otherwise the battery was being in dead mode, You have checked it first It would be so helpful for it.
