Hello guys,

When I cold start, I hear hissing sound just as the whistler of the pot when you boil water.

I've located the source, and it is coming from somewhere around low pressure AC valve. It is on the top left side(11 o clock) in the hood. MY 2007.


It is low but audible in the cabin if I pay attention to, presents after start few minutes then disappears. It doesn't make sound when the car is off.

what concerns me is this : I rarely use AC but it works perfectly so far. Its been 3 months since I purchased, the noise has been there from the start. So if anything got wrong on my AC, I'm afraid there should be something wrong by now..but it is fine..

Is it normal?

I don't have one and I'm not familiar with that series but I'd have to say from your description and if it's something you notice it's likely not a normal thing.
Hopefully someone who owns one will jump in and give their opinion.

Any chance you can post some video/audio with the whistle/hiss

Are you having any problems with idle at start up or a check engine light ??

No check engine lights.
No DTC stored, checked with Bluetooth ELM327.

Could you please example 'problems with idle at start up'?
