Default Reset Information Display

My alarm went off the other day for no reason, and I couldn't get it to shut off. Finally, after riding around for 5 minutes, it stopped. Now everytime I start the car I get the message
Alarm System service required
. How do you reset this message. I click read, but everytime I start the car it comes back up. The alarm hasn't gone off since then, so I think it was a fluke. Just want to reset the message.

I have read that that message is usually caused by a failed alarm siren. The message can only be cleared by a dealer or an indy shop. No word on the cost.

Dealer will have to read the alarm cause off from VIDA (diagnostic computer for volvo dealer) and then fault trace from there
