Default installing passenger side sun visor

Is it possible to change the right side passenger sun visor on my 2002 Volvo s40? My mechanic tore it wqhen he was working on it my car's interior.

It should be esy, but it has a electrical wire connection that goes up under the car headliner.

I do not see how to put a new visor in with the connection made, without removing at least part of the cars headliner.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

Just stuff the wire back up there where it won't be pinched.

Okay, but the old sunvisor must be unplugged and that plug is under my Volvo s40 2002 headliner. Likewise, the new headliner must be plugged in.

All of this takes place under the headliner.

How do I do it?

The wiring is taped to the headliner. Just pull it out to disconnect it. Plug in the new one and push it back in.

Default Still must get under the headliner?

Yes, but don't you have to get under the headliner to plug the new one in and unplug the old one?

I see no way around that. The plug is located under the headliner - you must get under the headliner to reach it.

Thanks in advance.

I thought the connector was right above the headliner, in which case you just pull the wiring to get to it. But it might be behind the a pillar cover on the older S40s. If so, just pull off the cover to access. It's been a while since I've done one on an older S40
