ok then here's my next question. On volvo motorsport, they sell this R.I.P kit with blowoff valve, it seems to be new intercooler piping and a new blow off...would this be a possible upgrade for me? Thanks s70, can always count on you.

RE: Intercooler
I just called VMS and the rip kit is only made for 90 model 850's...but on another note...the gentleman said that they have a new piping kit underway for the s40's and should be coming out pretty soon....!
I'm pretty much trying to find smaller upgrades that I can use without getting into a new exhuast and/or turbo...thats down the line and right now im trying to do whatever I can. In the next couple months im going to be lowering the suspension using eibach and bilstein and after that I'm going to look into either doing the exhaust and then chiptuning, or just doing the exhaust or just doing the chip tuning, im hesistant about the exhaust because I'm not sure what upgrade to buy and if it's something I can do or if it replaces the downpipes to the cat to the tips would need a tech to do it.....

Secondly I suggest you do things in order the way they should be done it. You don't have to, but it would make it easier.
1. STAGE ZERO
2. Dyno your car stock and get a/f ratios and see what you have to build upon.
3. Exhaust system, 3" mandrel bent downpipe to a 2.5" mandrel bent catback system with a free flowing straight through design muffler like a Magnaflow. A local muffler shop that can mandrel bend can make this for you. Unless you want to pay more for prefabbed items.
3. Any other engine mods you had planned, intake, rip kit, etc... besides the ECU tuning.
4. Once you have all the engine mods done besides the ECU tuning do another dyno run and get a/f ratios with this as well and see what you have now.
5. ECU tune. Send your baseline dyno with a/f ratios and also your updated dyno with a/f ratios to the chiptuner. Let them know what mods you have as well and they should be able to give you a nice tune.
6. Dyno again after the ECU tune. You should be happy.
