Ipod adapter for 2007 S40

Does anyone have a good idea of how to integrate an ipod to the factory radio in the 2007 S40 other than the fm transmitter?

I'm not positive but as of right now the FM Transmitter might be the only way to do it.

Does the car have a tape player? If so you could try a tape player adapter.

ipd has these for model years 2000 to 20004 for the S40, as well as all other models. Maybe you could contact them, or see if you could modify one of these adaptors. They route through the CD changer, and you access the iPod via the CD changer on the radio/cd unit.

Did you read?

"Radio must have CD changer as a selectable source to work with this kit. Our ipod adapters are notcompatible with radio head units labeled with part number"SC-901" and they won't work with XC90 or 2004.5 and later S40 or V50 models.(See the imagefor help identifying your radio.)"

I certainly did read. That's why I suggested he contact ipd, and why I pointed out these adaptors are for earlier models; it's a place to start.

If they tell you right on their website they are not going to tell you different over the phone. And if they do then they are lieing one way or the other.

I went the FM route (Kenwood KOS-A200) and am very happy with it, even if performing aslick installation turned out to be a lot of work. My apologies to the moderatorsfor linking to another forum, but this might be interesting to have a look at:
