Hi All: I have a 2001 S40, radio unit is HU615. I am not able to play my ipod through the existing system using the tape deck. Can any one shed some light on this? Thanks,

Not sure why. I have an '03 S40 and I use a cassette adapter every day, plugged into the headphone jack on the Ipod. I also use a charger through the docking port.
Check that the adapter still functions (spins). They tend to not last very long.
My only guess is that you may have the volume on the Ipod all the way down.
