'06 S60 Factory Head Unit swap to tape deck
Hello everyone!
Just purchased a 2006 S60 and need to listen to my ipod while i drive. I traded in my Audi A4 that had a tape player (w/ CD) factory head unit which i used to play my ipod, with adaptor that fit in the headphone jack of ipod. The 2006 S60 only has a CD player and from the research i did on this forum, there does not appear to be an easy/inexpensive way to listen to my ipod (except for the fm transmiter which sucks in my experience).
So what i want to do is swap my headunit for an older factory headunit which still has a tape deck....is this possible? Would i still be able to use the steering wheel controls? Any other opinions on what i should do?
Thanks for any advice!
Regards,
Tom

I saw a post a while back about an iPod cable for your head unit. It uses the connection for the CD changer. One of the posts had the cable coming out of the pocket about the radio; it was a pretty clean install.
