Hello everyone, I recently bought my 2006 Volvo s40 from a private seller, and the one thing I did not check was the radio. My problem is when I turn it on and the display screen comes up with "Premium sound" and the little Volvo car.The problem is it just shuts off and goes back to the main display where I can adjust my heat etc... The tuning volume control works and I can adjust the bass tremble etc... I called Volvo and they said my car does not require a radio code. Has anyone else had this problem????? I would really appreciate any input I can get. Thank you!!!

 

I should have specified better before. I know my car does not have a code and will more then likely need a software upgrade. Has anyone ever had one and if so what was the cost?? Thank you

 

Sorry for the necrobump - but I have exactly the same issue on my new 2008 S80 3.2 with DynAudio system (JDM import, dvd, sd,hdd nav etc).

Press power - Image comes up - dolby pro logic with a picture of the car - and then it disappears back to the AC display.

No one seems to have any insight .. have googled and googled ..

Does anyone know what causes this?
