Hi,

I have just changed the batteries in one of the remote locking key fobs and now neither my wifes nor mine will open the car.

We can open the car with the key but this causes the alarm to go off, and we cannot reset it. [:'(]

When I called the dealership for advice the guy didn't appear to understand that I couldn't drive the 16 miles to him because the alarm would be going off all the way there.

Any advice gratefully received. Car is S40se 1.8 1997 if that is any help.

Have you tried to turn the key twice to the unlock position?

There must be a fault in the alarm system.
