Default Minor front end damage - car cranks won’t start

2005 S40 front end damage to lower scoop under front bumper, fan and radiator only. Car will crank but not start. Seems to have fuel in the rail and can hear fuel pump. Any first steps? I have yet to check spark. Can a damaged fan controller or fan wiring prevent start?

There are two front impact sensors somewhere in that area (seem to be ahead of the wheels, but because of Volvo's way of diagraming, I can't tell you more than that. I'm not sure if these are tied into the ignition or fuel system though - can't find any info in the electrical manual... just wish Volvo would do "real manuals" but I guess that would allow more of us to avoid their service department...
