I think the S40 needs the OEM mud flaps, for looks and to keep crud off of the lower sides. Anybody have these, or hate the look? Cost is only ~130usd or so I think.

that could look pretty decent if ur going for a look like that, Audi has the same thing going on with their A4, i think it looks good

 

I put them on my S40.I painted the lower body molding and the flaps to match my car.Since I have rear splitters on my car I used a Dremel to modify my rear flaps to fit.I think they look good and they sure keep crud off the lower part of the car.I am also running Enkei wheels and wider tires so I really needed the flaps.
