Default MY 2007, shiftknob moves when brake is applied

Hello guys, 2007 AT.

On the parking lot, car was stationary and the gear was on P.
I applied the brake and saw that the **** was shaking slightly ( less than 0.3 inches) everytime I depressed the brake.

I want to understand why it's happening :)
Does brake have something to do with transmission?

Thanks in advance.

There is a solenoid activated by the brake pedal to prevent you putting the trnasmission into ear without the brake applied. Try going from park to D without the brake on, no go...The 'shift lock' button overrides the solenoid.
