need a suggestion if possible
So as i was driving my 02 volvo v40 today to work, when i was accelerating the cloud of smoke dragging behind my car looked kind of bluesh, i dont know if i am freaking out of no reason or what. It was 11 degrees in Chicago, but i cant remember seeing before, when was cold. My car has 82K miles on it, its the 1.9t. On the 6th when it was 25 below, when i started my car, i hurd a noise for like a second, but i thought that was the power steering pump, it did it both times i started the car that cold day. Since then no more noise, as it cold warmer. Do you guys think, that meowing sounding noise, was from the turbo, and now the seals are bad and its burning oil, or i am just seeing things. I checked the exhaust to see if it has the black coat, but so far nothing, it was just a bit, but it was like that 6k miles ago.
What do you guys think?
thank you

Are you losing oil? If you are dumping a bunch of oil thru the turbo onto the cat convertor you will get more than a little blue smoke. Unless your car looks like a mosquito fogger machine I'd not sweat it.
Start the car and drive it till it's warmed up. Park it and let it sit running. After 10 minutes, see if it is smoking. If you see no smoke, pump the gas a few times to see if it blows smoke.
Report back.
what i meant to say, was the little black powdery coating in the exhaust is the same since i bought the car which was give or take 6k miles ago. Today the temp was like 38 outside, and there was no steam from the exhaust, like on the super cold days. Car is not mosquito defogger lol, but i can swear, the steam in my review mirror looked a little blueish. Like i said today there was nothing. i also let the car to run for like 15-20 min before i drove it, no white or blue smoke, didnt smell like burned oil. I ve seen blown turbos, and the smoke behind it. I guess i am just looking too much in the review mirror. Thanks for calming me down folks
the residue is minimal, not noticeable unless, you wipe the pipe with your finger, just check the oil lvl today, its almost full, which it was when, service did my oil change exactly 2000k miles ago, i think i am just seeing things
