Default need suggestion on fuel system treatment

Does any one has experience to use fuel system treatment/cleaner?
which brands are better?
Whether it is OK to use fuel system cleaner, like Lucas or Motul, on Turbo cars?

Thanks in advance!

Philip,
My car has 102,000 kilometers and for about 1 month ago I started to hear a whistle noise coming from fuel pump. And I saw some threads mention that the similar noise was just gone after they used fuel system treatment/cleaner. So I wonder whether I can give it a try before I consider a fuel pump replacement.
Since Volvo does not recommend the use of external fuel injector cleaning systems, so I have a little bit concern on that

The master mechanic I consult with recommends Techron for cleaning.

I use Lucas fuel treatment regularly as a preventative.

Seeing this thread has me wondering about additives or synthetics, in general.

I have used SeaFoam in the fuel systems of just about all my engines. I have literally heard and felt the improvement on outboard engine try-outs. I am a believer.

What about oil additives? Should I run with an additive or switch to a synthetic at 114k miles on my 2.5T?

Thank you,
J

Techron is an excellent additive for maintenance twice a year.
It will NOT solve the problems of an ailing fuel pump. If you think you have fuel pump problems, start by checking its output pressure and go from there. Don't overlook the filter.

I only found Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant & Injector Cleaner in Walmart today. What is the difference between this and Lucas Fuel System Cleaner? Are they have the similar effect on cleaning the whole fuel system?
