I just got it today and I love it. Its the AWD version and it performs incredibly. I'm new here but I've already found lots of valuable info. I tried posting a picture but the file was too large.

 

Anyone know the difference between the 05 and the 06 model?

 

I'd be interested to know if there are any changes between 05 and 06...

 

Two green colors were dropped from the '05 and a new bright Blue and a Silver were added. The four free factory recommended services at 7500, 15,000, 22,500, and 30,000 miles were reduced only one at 7500 mi. Some option packages were streamlined so now a sunroof is only available with leather seats. And the cup holders between the front seats were supposed to have been improved but are actually the same. Ohhhh and the '06 T5 without the Dynamic Styling pkg. has a different standard wheel than the '05. I personally think that's the biggest improvement.

 

Just had a trade assist on my 2005 S40 and got a 2006 S40. Differences include better cupholders and simplified package structure. No longer have the premium package on 2.4i, just T5. Also, the biggest difference, which is a huge issue right now between Volvo and myself, they quit doing the maintence program in 2006. I had so many problems with my 2005 that they offered us a trade assist on a 2006 and no one told us that the maintenance was no longer part of the purchase. I am currently trying to get this worked out with my dealership since Volvo of North America rudely stated that there was nothing they could do. The only reason I no longer have my 2005 is b/c of their Product and I should not be out anything b/c I was placed in a 2006.
