Default New parts

Okay so I'm just excited and wanted to say something. I just bought the downpipe and lowering springs from Evolve. I got a good deal on the springs because the downpipe was back ordered. They are supposed to ship Thursday I can't wait!!! By this time next week I'll have a completely different car.

Anybody have theEvolve lowering springs? How is the ride?

Nice! you will love the new setup!
I would assume that the springs will ride the same as most of the other sport springs out there. Next thing that would make a bigg difference would be the IPD swaybars, and some KONIs or Bilstein HDs Shocks/Struts

Yep! I remember, but you dont have it one the car yet

Edit: You might have to update your BSR tuner to stage 2 for the new downpipe. Call and find out.

From what the guy at EST (where I purchased) said that the BSR doesn’t have a stage 3 for the S40 T5 AWD so there is no upgrade. I sent BSR an email the other day and this was there response. I am some what concerned and confused. I would love to hear any feed back or suggestions you guys might have. Should I be worried about drivability? This is my daily driver/only car. lol

My message to them:
I am inquiring about the BSR program I currently have installed on my vehicle. I have recently installed a K&N typhoon intake (cold/Ram Air) and upgraded my downpipe to a 3" pipe with performance catalytic converter (EVOLVE S40 3" Downpipe) I wanted to find out if the program could be optimized for the new parts I have installed.
Thank you in advance for your help.

BSR’s response:
We are sorry to say the we have no optimized software for that setup as we have never tested that hardware. As there are numerous manufacturers of exhaust parts and air filter kits, it's impossible for us to test an verify all possible combinations (which would be thousands and thousands) so all our Stage 3 tunig kits are carefully calibrated using BSR hardware so any other hardware you use might case drivability issues as well as durability issues.

Oh and here is Frank at EST response to the same question:
Hi Stan,

Thank you for the email. We no longer are dealing with BSR with the PPC unit. We have switched to RICA mainly because their software is just as good as BSR and they have more tuning/stage kits available. Last time I check BSR only had a stage 3 program for the S40 T5 FWD models not the AWD.
I would suggest that you contact BSR regarding the software upgrade. If you have any questions please let me know.

Regards,
Frank Derks

I would not worry too much, for you will be at stage 2 with the new downpipe, and BSR has a stage 2 option.
You should be fine. I was just asking.
