I posted these over on the new members board, before I had the good sense to realize this is where they should be located. I bought a 2003 S40 last week and it is in great shape, with a few minor cosmetic issues and some other stuff. Any suggestions you have on fixing the following: [ul][*]Need to fix the fuel door...there appears to be something missing on the rubber bumper inside b/c the door closes too far and you have to push it out manually. The manual says it is unlocked when the car is unlocked, but how does it normally open? Do you just pull the hatch?[*]Need suggestion on tracking down another fuel cap with the cord attached. I am trying like crazy to lose it already.[*]What's the story on spare keys for a 2003? I called the dealer and he said at least $200 for a key, even without the remote. Am I really that screwed? I found a place (myswedishparts.com) that says $23 for a blank and $34 to cut - provided you have a title and license, then you go to a dealer for the software download. Has anybody done this?[*]And, interior parts...the glove compartment has a big scratch on it and I can't find any online places that sell them. Does anybody have a dealer they order parts through that has been reasonable?[/ul]Thanks for any info or tips.

I have a 2002 S40.My fuel door locks when the car is locked and is open otherwise.I push on the front of the door closest to the driver and it opens that way.Your cap should have a cord attached so u wont lose it. Dealer should have a replacement if not there. If u dont want to go that route, I made one for my Mazda truck using a very small shock cord and two "S" hangers.Works great.EBay has spare keys all the time.Check on there.Hope this helps.
