New to Volvo
Hi all,
I recently purchased an 01 Volvo S40 1.9t.
LOVE IT! Peppy and sporty, all the things I love!
Of course when I bought it, there were a few things I did not notice....
1. When I back up, then go forward with a slight turn, there is a grinding noise... I cant pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Steering or brake release...
2. SRS light is on. When cranked, all dash lights light up, SRS doesnt go off.
3. Toilet flushing sound from dash.
4. Engine seems loud when running.
5. Recalls? Is there a way to know if there are any recalls or if they have been fixed on my car??
6. AC goes haywire sometimes. I rarely adjust it. Sometimes it will blow full blast for a couple of seconds then go back to regular.
Are any of these things typical or normal? Or should I rush to a dealer to get it seen about??
Before I purchased it, I ran a car fax. There was an accident indicated, but it was minor and no airbag deployment occured.
Sure hope Im not in love with a lemon!
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Lisa
PS The wheel caps needed replacing when I bought it. I searched and searched... I found a salvage/new parts place in Atlanta website. voluparts.com Bill is the owner and is great to work with! Parts (new and used) are priced right and shipping prompt! Just thought Id share...
