Odd smell with turbo?
Hi, i was just driving my Volvo S40 earlier and i put it into sport mode and got on it and was doing about 75 mph or so and a minute or so later i came to a stop and noticed a odd smell, i didnt have the windows open at the time, but it might have been where i was driving, near some industrial place. I just bought this car less than a week ago, its a 2000 and it has just about 80k miles on it, any tips or help on taking care of it and keeping it in shape would be much appreciated. Thanks
IMHO one of the most important things you can do to a used car is performing whats called a "Stage 0"
It will include...
-Replace all fluids
-New plugs
-New spark plug wirew
-New Vacuum lines
-New PCV
-New filters all the way around
-Check the 02 sensors, Replace if necessary
-Fuel pump
Doesn't need to be done all at once but I would tackle the list as soon as my budget would allow.
