Default Odometer and clock will not turn off

Hi Guys,

I have a 2001 S40 and the Odometer and clock do not turn off when I turn off the car. I let the car sit for a little over a week and it would not start because of it. Has anyone had this issue? I searched but could not find anything. Thanks for your help

Unles you disconnect the battery the clock and the odometer are always on.You have other issues the clock doesnt use more power than a wrist watch. If the car cranks your battery is fine now the question is does it?

Yeah I couldnt see how that clock would drain the battery but it was a thought. I was able to jump the car and it ran fine. I actually figured out what the issue was, the glovebox was open a crack and the light was on inside there so this should solve the issue. Its good to know about the clock staying on because I thought that was odd especially with all the electrical issues I've had . Thanks for the info!
