Default Clock / Odometer on Constantly

I've got a 1998 S70. Is it normal for the Clock / Odometer to show constantly, even when the key is out? If not, anyone have any suggestions on making it stop!

Thanks!

That is normal. The 99 models go off after a certain amount of time.

Aahh. Great.

I was trying to clear my SERVICE light but couldn't get it the light to flash. As you've explained; Position I is when the airbag light comes on, and then hold the trip reset button and turn the ignition to position II where all the light will light up? The SERVICE light won't flash for me.

Am I missing something here?

That only works on the 99 and up cars.

You need a special tool for the 98 S70 and the earlier 850s to reset the service light every 5K miles. The light goes off by itself after the engine has been running for several minutes so it's no big deal...
