How often does everyone change there oil? I have a 2001 s40 and change it every 3000, however, the dealer says every 7500. I use royal purple and mobil 1 ep 10w30.

 

I change it between 3,000-8,000 miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic.

 

The dealer also told me every 7,500 miles. One time and one time only I went a little over 10,000 miles and I will never do that again.

 

5,000 is probably your best bet since were talking synthetic, but if you're a heavy on the car driver you can go wrong with 3000 to be safe, but with the price of oil changes 5000 is abundant.

 

Mobil one is good for 10,000 with normal driving and the infrequent romp. Consider $55 every 3000 or $90 every 10,000. Traveling is part of my job, so 3000 miles is about4 weeks.Don't have the time or money to have the oil changed thatoften. '05 t -6sp, btw.
