Today I went to check my oil on my car and noticed that it had a gas smell to it. The car is running fine and does not burn oil or anything. The car is a 2005 s40 2.4i and 68,000 miles on the vehicle. I currently have 2,800 miles on the oil I have on now. Is this something serious?? Let me know peoples. thanks

 

Maybe the fuel pressure regualtor is bad. But I am not aware of any problems with the 05 cars like that.

 

so its not a turbo ? if it were id say check for smoke out your tail pipe once after the car is at running temperature at idle otherwise not sure
