PA Legal Tint...WTF!
haha okay so I just researched that in Pennsylvania the tint law is:
Windshield No tint is allowed on the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 70% of light in.
Now I feel like i'm wrong but isn't 70% tint barley noticeable?!
Here is my car and its tint:
Hahaha if I am right then mine must be extremely illegal!! Do you think if i got pulled over for whatever reason, the average cop would give me a citation to remove the tint, and can you be fined for the tint without warning if so how much?
Oh welllllll, the tint is DOPE
! hahah thanks guys!

Unfortunately in PA the tint that comes from the factory (on all vehicles except stationwagons/suv/vans) is already 30%, so no aftermarket tint is "legal". You could be stopped and cited, $25 fine with costs it is $110.50.
Vehicles come with 30% tint, that allows 70% light transmittal, this is what is legal in PA. Any additional tint lowers the light transmittal, and is illegal.
SV, you are correct, however the PA vehicle code defines it opposite from what the tint industry does. Can not be less than 70% light transmittance. I just had 30% installed on my VW, but when I throw a tint meter on it it registers as 40% light transmittance (30% factory + 30% aftermarket = 60%). And at least in PA you can remove all of the numbers and state it simply, if it is added aftermarket it is illegal.
